For the 2019/20 season Sego Ski Co. is making a commitment to donate 5% of sales to charitable foundations that help improve the ski-centric world in which we operate. There are many charities to choose from, and in order to maximize our impact we've chosen three charities with a single goal in mind: to make sure everyone in the ski community has the opportunity to experience the joys of skiing no matter their financial situation, or the physical challenges they've encountered. The non-profits we've chosen to support reflect our belief in the power of starting local and working with people we trust.
The High Fives Foundation is a national 501.C.3 non-profit organization based in Truckee, California. They serve athletes living with a life-altering injury such as a spinal cord injury or traumatic brain injury. High Fives provides grants and rehab services to allow athletes to return to the sports they love.
The Doug Coombs Foundation is a 501.C.3 non-profit organization that helps children from low income families participate in the sports of skiing, rock-climbing, and soccer. Their primary methods are by offering free programs and gear in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Teton Valley Ski Education Foundation is our local non-profit ski and snowboard team. They employ a great staff of coaches to teach the youth of Teton Valley Idaho to ski and snowboard. Their mission is to "provide an affordable winter sports program for young athletes to meet their individual potential for excellence through education and opportunity for competition." Our goal is to provide TVSEF with the funds for two scholarships for local skiers.
