Children of the Quarn 1

Just like everything else our little ski team, Jackson Hole Evolution, was effected by Covid. It ended our season early last winter and pushed us back this winter along with being a constant threatening presence day to day. I am lucky to work with such talented and devoted kids who are willing to wake up extra early and be in the lift line to get after the fresh snow and newly opened terrain following ski patrol as they dropped the rope. The snow was incredible, classic Teton deep powder brought on by layers of storms to make it feel like a bouncy bottomless cloud, a little piece of joy and normalcy. The Bighorn 114’s I was riding turned the deep snow, pillows, and cliffs into a playground even as the sun turned the fresh pow into hot and heavy pow.
