The Fine Line: Sego Ambassador Matt Bambach

Matt's Experience with Teton County Search & Rescue

Matthew Bambach, Jackson Hole, Teton County Search and Rescue, The Fine Line Podcast
Sego Ambassador Matt Bambach's stoic demeanor served him well this season.

This season skier and Sego Ambassador Matt Bambach suffered a serious injury while just skiing along on a standard backcountry run just off Teton Pass. He recently sat down with the crew that helped get him from the backcountry to medical care. Teton County Search and Rescue's "The Fine Line" podcast takes a dive into that day's events and Matt's perspective as well as those of the first responders. His story is worth a listen as it brings into perspective how a simple day in the backcountry can get serious quick, as well as what goes into a successful rescue and recovery. Matt fires us up with his love for skiing, and while it's tough to see a friend go through a difficult experience, his perspective is inspiring.

"I'm still learning from my accident. I have tremendous gratitude for how lucky I got, the quality of care I received, and, ultimately, having another chance to work, play and love well in this lifetime. I'm blessed to have gone through this experience, and hope that our conversation can help others avoid dancing with death while playing outside."
